February 25, 2026(1 event) – Celebrate Black History Month by learning about the food ways of nineteenth-century Black settlers in our community. Using a historical artifact from Kitchener Public Library's collection, participants will examine the celebratory food ways of the Queen's Bush settlement, one of Ontario's most notable historic Black communities. Experience Indigenous cultures with Be-Dah-Bin Gamik, Indigenous Services at Conestoga, and celebrate the sixteenth anniversary of the annual traditional Pow Wow. All community members are welcome to join the Pow Wow, featuring:

Phyllis Webstad, the founder of the orange shirt movement for reconciliation in Canada is coming to Waterloo Region Tuesday March 24th 7:30-9:30pm, hosted by Mennonite Central Committee in the Conrad Grebel University College dining hall. This event is a chance for students and community members at all stages of their reconciliation journey to learn more and recommit to action towards right relations. Join us for an evening where Phyllis tells her story followed by a discussion on truth and reconciliation.

This March the Irish Real Life Festival is coming to the Grebel Gallery with an exhibit inspired by Celtic knotwork and themes of community: 'Shared Threads'. The exhibit is open to the public March 1-30th 2026 with an opening reception Sunday March 1st, 7-9pm at the Grebel Gallery, top floor of Conrad Grebel University College at 140 Westmount Rd North. The wider festival has many more events across Waterloo Region 7-17th March. You don't have to be Irish to join the festivities!

March 31, 2026(1 event) – Spectrum will be hosting a fun-filled evening for the Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31st! This event will take place from 6:30 - 7:30 PM at Vogelsang Green in Kitchener. Vogelsang Green is a parkette located on Queen Street between Duke Street and King Street near Goudies Lane. There will be comedy sets with Sarah Simpson, Kez Vicario-Robinson, and Emme Kay Kennedy followed by a dance routine with Bolo Tie Line! Come out and support some incredible artists. |
