The Centre Wellington Black Committee (CWBC) proudly announces the return of the 5th Annual CW Family FunDay Festival, taking place Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Bissell Park in Elora. This free, family‑friendly festival continues its tradition of bringing residents and visitors together for a vibrant celebration of music, culture, youth programming, senior engagement, food, games, prizes, and community connection.
This milestone year features live performances by Errol Blackwood & Injahband, including a 1:00 PM roots reggae set and a 5:00 PM finale performance. Guests can also enjoy the CW Rising Stars Talent Competition, cultural displays, local vendors, food trucks, and a wide range of interactive activities for all ages.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and their community spirit. Parking is available on‑site, with additional support from local partners. Shuttle Bus is available!
Family Activities, Games & Kidz Zone
Families will find plenty to enjoy in the Kidz Zone, offering face painting, bubbles, egg‑and‑spoon races, tug‑of‑war, hands‑on activity stations, and more.
This year’s festival also brings back several crowd‑favorite games, including:
- Tug of War: Attendees vs Centre Wellington Fire Rescue — a FunDay tradition that always draws cheers
- Egg‑and‑Spoon Race — a playful challenge for kids and families
- Three‑Legged Race — teamwork, laughter, and friendly competition
Expanded Seniors Programming
To honour the festival’s commitment to inclusivity across generations, the Seniors Bingo/Tent has been expanded for the 5th anniversary year. Seniors can enjoy:
- Seniors Bingo — multiple rounds throughout the day
- Cornhole Games — friendly competition with prizes
- Needle & Thread Race — a classic favourite that brings laughter and nostalgia
- Community wellness resources — including online safety and fraud‑prevention information
The Seniors Tent offers a welcoming space for recreation, connection, and community support.
