Celebrate Black History Month by learning about the food ways of nineteenth-century Black settlers in our community. Using a historical artifact from Kitchener Public Library's collection, participants will examine the celebratory food ways of the Queen's Bush settlement, one of Ontario's most notable historic Black communities. Food samples will be served and a discussion will follow with guest speaker Laila El Mugammar. This is a free community event but registration is required.
